Orlando, FL – Publix, one of the state’s most widely utilized grocery stores, has released a statement stating another 20 stores have COVID-19 positive staff members.
This brings the overall count of grocery stores that have contracted the virus to 30 in Orlando.
The state of Florida has been on the fast-track to reopening businesses. Unfortunately, the rise in COVID-19 cases is also apparent. With multiple sections of Florida prematurely opening, the number of cases is beginning to skyrocket.
Videos of packed bars and restaurants with the majority of their patrons not wearing masks causes concern for the surrounding individuals who would like to one day be able to return to normal.
For essential businesses this has led to an increase in cases for their stores.
Publix is one of the states most widely utilized essential business.
The state of Florida is projecting uncomfortable numbers ever since it took its first steps in reopening. With many warning the state prior to opening that the numbers would drastically increase, Florida did not take the necessary precautions for public safety.
Thus, the state has made matters worse as the spread of COVID-19 continues to spread.
Workers young and old are getting sick as the virus continues to increase. Throughout the country, other states such as Arizona and Texas are also beginning to reopen. In a similar fashion, these states are currently seeing the same drastic spike that Florida is receiving.
