Maserati is going to reach a few of 2021 and 2022 models too, in fact, fix problems that will cause a fuel leak. Therefore, there are a number of cars that include in the campaign which is primarily small. Therefore, it does cover every member of the company’s lineup that does range from the entry-level Ghibli to the MC20 supercar. Actually, this is a very serious problem that does affect Maserati owners.
Maserati Models – NHTSA Documents
There are documents which are publishing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) which do explain that about 409 cars are selling in the United States. They are fitting with a fuel line sensor housing which can crack and leak. Moreover, it can add that is a problem that can reduce the engine’s performance by not delivering enough fuel to the cylinders. Moreover, the leak can really cause a fire. Although, the notice does say that they are only in what is describing as “rare circumstances.”
Recalled Models
For the 2021 and 2022 Levante, there are 274 units. For the 2021 Ghibli, there are 88 examples. Also, 43 for the 2021 Quattroporte sedans and for the four 2022 MC20s which are affecting. In fact, the Maserati does estimate that the Levante models which do include in the campaign were built in the Italian firm in November 3, 2020, to June 7, 2021. There are Quattroporte models that we’re building from October 28, 2020, to June 7, 2021. Also, there are four MC20s between July 12 and September 2021.
The carmaker did act very quickly. That was once they found out the problem on October 8th. Then there was an internal investigation into the part’s supplier was done the following day. Then it issued the voluntary recall on November 4, 2021. So far, there have been no accidents, injuries, or fatalities linked to the problem. On all fuel line sensor housing in all affected cars that are free of charge Maserati will replace them. On December 27th, 2021, the carmaker will begin notifying owners.
