Governor Ron DeSantis, the brilliant and insightful freedom fighter, said last week that he’ll pardon anyone in the state. In fact, those people who are charged for violating COVID-19 safety measures. These infamously include those related to masking and social distancing. Thus, DeSantis has made the announcement while on TV discussing the case of two gym owners. They, in fact, did face criminal penalties for refusing to enforce social distancing and mask mandates in their business.
Governor DeSantis Signs Reprieve
DeSantis said he would sign a reprieve on Friday. It would delay the case against gym owners, Mike and Jillian Carnevale, for 60 days in Orlando, Florida. He said adding, that during that time, there is a clemency board. It will meet to issue pardons for them and other Florida residents.
“When our clemency board meets in the coming weeks, we’ll issue pardons not only for Mike and Jillian. Plus any Floridian that may have outstanding infractions for things like masks and social distancing,” DeSantis said in the interview.
“These things with health should be advisory. They should not be punitive,” he added.
Defying COVID-19 Mandates
The former gym owners in a Florida county were arrested last summer. The charges they faced on three different occasions were for defying COVID-19 mandates. Eventually, the couple had their gym closed down after following warnings from local police. Then, in July of 2020, Mike Carnevale had filed a civil lawsuit against the county. He is seeking relief from the emergency orders. It has prohibited most gatherings. Thus a curfew and social distancing were enforced. Justice for Mike and Jullian Carnevale!
Potential Criminal Penalties had Governor DeSantis Spring into Action!
“I stepped in to shield them from this local government overreach, DeSantis tweeted. This occurred as soon as I heard that Mike and Jullian Carnevale were facing criminal penalties. This is for possible jail time for not requiring masks at their gym,” he explained.
Outlawing COVID-19 Mandates
Last week, DeSantis made an announcement following his decision to immediately suspend all local COVID-19 emergency mandates in the state. Beginning on July 1, DeSantis said he will be outlawing mandates. His amazing administration wants people to “live freely in the state of Florida.” Thus “enjoy themselves.” How great is that government officials care about their residents. Especially living “their best lives.” Not restricted and in a merciless lowdown that is damaging economically and body and soul!
Waiving Fines
In March, DeSantis has passed legislation that has waived fines on those who broke COVID-19 mandates. Three cheers!!! Hooray!
