As of recent, The Wilf Family has made the purchase of the Pride Soccer Club final. They are the organization’s new majority owners.
This in addition, includes O.C. Soccer Club from the Major League of Soccer as well as the Exploria Stadium, the O.C. Academy and the Youth Soccer Network.
Not to mention the Orlando Health Training Ground at Osceola Heritage Park. Oh, and there’s also the Orlando Health Training Ground at Sylvan Lake Park. Man, so many assets!
Why would the Wilf Family pay for so many assets of the Pride Soccer Club?
Mark, Lenny and Zygi Wilf are all managing partners of the Pride Women’s Soccer Team as well as the O.C.S.C. In the past, they’ve been able to manage ownership of the NFL Minnesota Vikings.
They also happen to be in charge of Garden Homes, the real estate firm that has given a national presence in retail, private and commercial development.
In a statement, Mark Wilf, the Chairman, has made it known that they are grateful for the opportunity. “We are humbled to become stewards of Orlando City SC and the Orlando Pride, clubs with strong and established foundations on the pitch, with renowned supporters and a passionate fan base, and in a community, we are extremely proud to represent.”
In addition, The DeVos Family is going to join the ownership, seeming how they are a part of the very threads of Orlando. This is all since the NBA’s Orlando Magic being purchased by them way back in 1991. (A Franchise they still own to this day.)
“Dan and the DeVos family are synonymous with Orlando sports and community,” says Mark Wilf. “They are a valued and strong strategic partner as we move forward and work to create sustained success for Orlando City SC and the Orlando Pride.”
